Child Safeguarding Policy and Procedure
Our Commitment
Bangsak Village is an adults-only hotel; however, we remain committed to child safeguarding and protection. The senior management of Bangsak Village is dedicated to safeguarding children from both general and sexual exploitation.
We commit to the following six codes by:
- Establishing policies and procedures to prevent the general and sexual exploitation of children.
- Regularly training our employees on child safeguarding, including recognizing and reporting suspicious activities related to tourism-related sexual exploitation to local authorities or child protection agencies.
- Including a clause in our contracts with suppliers and subcontractors that enforces a common repudiation and zero-tolerance policy regarding the general and sexual exploitation of children.
- Raising awareness among our guests by providing relevant information and guidelines on how to report suspected cases, displayed on guest notice boards or in-room information.
- Maintaining constant communication with local authorities and child protection agencies in our destination.
- Annually reporting on the implementation of these six criteria.

Procedure for Reporting Suspicious Activities Involving Children. What should you do when a guest arrives at the hotel with a young person?
- 1. Assess the situation by asking casual questions and observing their behavior.
- 2. Request identification from both individuals, explaining that a minor not accompanied by a parent or legal guardian is not allowed to enter the hotel.
- 3. Notify security personnel if the situation seems suspicious.
- 4. Deny access to the minor unless proper documentation confirms their relationship to the adult. If the adult is accompanied by an unrelated minor, they should be stopped, and authorities should be contacted for further clarification. If you need to report the situation, please call the Takuapa Police Department at 191 or 076 421113.
- 5. Explain the policy, emphasizing that this rule is part of Bangsak Village’s commitment to combating child sex tourism, which is a criminal offense punishable by law.
- 6. Remain vigilant throughout the adult’s stay, observing any unusual behavior.

Facial Expressions: Flushed skin, sweating, furrowed eyebrows.
Hand Movements: Abrupt gestures, shaking, tapping.
Body Language: Rocking movements, unusual jerking.
